South Korea and China’s sympathy toward Japan
South Korea and China’s sympathy to the earthquake in Japan will trigger amicable Sino-Japanese relation and Japan-Korea relation.
On the 21st of this month, Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Chiabao came to Japan and visited local shelters in Fukushima with Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Ken. The visit of the two leaders to Japan was lead and achieved by Prime Minister Kan. Kan hoped to make the visit of the leaders of the two countries a chance to promote the safety of disaster prevention and nuclear power in Japan, presenting to the Foreign Ministry to hold the opening ceremony of the summit in Fukushima. Despite the difficulties adjusting, the two leaders accepted and came to Japan.
The opening ceremony of the summit, overcoming the bilateral relationship between Korea and China, has become a place to have positive negotiations. To the press at Natori, Miyagi, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Chiabao stated that the friendship he gained from the disaster is very grateful and hoped to further improve the Sino-Japanese relation. Korean President Lee Myung-bak also said that all the Koreans are concerned as well.
With this visit, amicable Sino-Japanese relation and Japan-Korea relation will be triggered. Prime Minister Wen Chiabao is trying to improve the relationship between Japan as well. Next year, China is scheduling a Chinese Communist Party Convention. At that convention, it is expected to have a significant generation change in the party leadership. Hu Jintao administration has focused stabilizing the international environment and put in power to the domestic policy. Therefore Prime Minister Wen Chiabao is trying to improve the Sino-Japanese relations by visiting the disaster area of Japan.
